PULSO Programme

The Faculty of Education and Social Work is launching the University Programme for Social Leadership (Pulso), with initiatives focused on promoting social justice, equal opportunities, an ethical commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals set out in the 2030 Agenda, and sustainability.

Through this initiative, we aim to support and encourage the faculty’s role as a proactive agent of social transformation in the local community.

Volunteering never replaces the specialised work of professionals

Carried out in NGOs or within the university context itself (including teaching staff and retired or former staff)
Effective solidarity
Rights-based approach
People are holders of rights, not passive recipients of aid or charity
Against stigma
Combating prejudice and labelling; focus on the structural factors that lead to exclusion
Active participation
Design developed in collaboration with the communities involved to promote their autonomy
Promoting sustainability
Eco-social perspective
Initiatives both within and outside the university to build more sustainable environments
