Welcome to the website of the Faculty of Education and Social Work (FETS), through which we aim to provide you with an initial introduction to both the centre and the people who work here. We hope that this first encounter will make you feel like another member of this university community.
We encourage you to enter our faculty through this virtual door, where you will find answers to many of your questions: if you go to the ‘Studies’ section, you will see the degrees offered, the subjects that make up their training plans and the main career opportunities; in ‘Teaching’ you will find information about the teaching staff, timetables, teaching guide content, exam dates, etc.; in the ‘Students’ section, you will find procedures and guidance plans to facilitate your time at the faculty, which aim to promote effective support tailored to your needs throughout the different courses. In addition to your studies, you can participate in many other activities at the centre, which are described in other links at the top of the page.
We want to be a faculty in constant development, where educational quality and attention to diversity are our hallmarks. To this end, we have established participation mechanisms that contribute to collectively charting the paths to be taken. We have accumulated almost two hundred years of experience in teacher training and some fifty years in the training of other professionals. We complement the educational work of schools and revitalise social services, always with the aim of guaranteeing the rights of all people, regardless of their circumstances. And our Strategic Development Programme, which you can read about in the ‘Quality’ section, in which we set ourselves the priority of achieving a universally accessible centre.
